You can
help support the Low Vision Center of Eastern Connecticut through donations.
The Low Vision Center of Eastern Connecticut is a non-profit
charitable organization and is recognized as a 501c3 corporation by the
Internal Revenue Service. All funds received are used to finance the operation
of the Center and to supply services and devices to our clients. The Center is
funded 100% by donations from Lions Clubs, individuals, and other businesses /
organizations. The Center receives no regular funding from Federal, State, or
Municipal sources. Your generous donations help us continually provide high
quality services to our existing clients, and to expand our services by
reaching new clients.

You can
Honor an Outstanding LION
The Lions Low Vision Center of Eastern Connecticut offers a very
special award, the Ambassador of Sight. This award acknowledges outstanding
humanitarian service by an individual or organization. While usually awarded to
a member of a Lions Club, this award can also be bestowed on non-lions to
recognize their extraordinary humanitarian contributions in supporting Low

Remember
us at Journey for Sight time
When your Lions club participates in the annual District 23C
Journey for Sight Walkathon, the club membership gets to decide how half their
pledges will be distributed. The Lions Low Vision Center of Eastern Connecticut
is one of the approved programs/organizations that your club can designate to
receive your portion of the Walkathon proceeds. Use your voice as a Lion to
promote the Lions Low Vision Center of Eastern Connecticut when it is time to
distribute these funds.
Corporate
and Business Contributions
Because the Lions Low Vision Center of Eastern Connecticut is
designated a 501c3 corporation under Federal law, corporate and business donors
can take advantage of tax deductions for their contributions. For more general

Beyond
Financial Contributions
You can help the Lions Low Vision Center of Eastern Connecticut in
several ways other than financial. If you know someone that could benefit from
our services, please help them get in touch with us. Perhaps you can offer
assistance in transporting a client in need to our offices or a senior center
where our licensed optician visits regularly.
